This hide is from a smaller whitetail buck maybe around 2 or 3 years old harvested in west Texas. Tanned the old way with brain matter and wood smoke. Smoked with Cottonwood.
This is a medium/thin hide. Could be sufficient for cutting water drum rounds, but definitely on the thinner side. Passes a beading needle test with flying colors. Minimal holes. Total material 7 square feet.
