Whitetail doe harvested in west Texas. Tanned the old school way with brain matter and wood smoke. Smoked with cottonwood and cedar.
This is a nice shaped hide with no holes. Very thick for the size. Would be suitable for cutting water drum rounds or fine crafting. There’s a small section on the upper spine that has some residual scar tissue most likely from ducking beneath barbed wire fencing. Otherwise, it’s still buttery soft all over.
