This mule deer buck was harvested with a rifle in west Texas. We acquired the hide and tanned it the old-school way with brain matter. This hide was not smoked, hence the white coloration. As with all un-smoked brain tanned hides, it is liable to turn back into rawhide if allowed to get wet.
Just under 9 square feet of very, very soft bouncy buckskin. Ideal hide for beading/crafting/quill work.
