This younger mule deer buck was harvested in west Texas. We acquired the hide and tanned it out the old school way with brain matter and wood smoke. Smoked with cottonwood and cedar.
This is a medium/thick hide that would be suitable for cutting water drum rounds but ideal for fine crafting: bead work, quill work, regalia, etc.
Very soft and fluffy, a size ten beading needle slides right through it.
